First Lego League Jr Expo in Naperville

First Lego League Jr Expo in Naperville captivates young minds and introduced them to the world of Science & Technology.

Teams of Kids ages 6 – 10 exhibited their Lego moving models designed and programmed after their research work on the Journey of water at the First League Jr. Expo on March 17th, 2018 at Yellow Box Community Church in Naperville, Illinois hosted and organized by Mr. Ripujeet Sharma and Mrs. Archana Sharma of STEMshala Enrichment Center.

STEMshala has been hosting FLL expo events for over five years in Naperville area. Their goal is to provide hands-on experience, encourage and engage young kid’s minds to develop passion in the field of science and technology by building strong education foundation from an early age that helps the child to be more focused and successful in life.

FIRST LEGO League Jr. captures young children’s inherent curiosity and directs it toward discovering the wonders of science and technology. This program features a real-world scientific concept to be explored of the journey of water through “Aqua Adventure Challenge” through research, teamwork, construction, and imagination. Guided by adult coaches, teams use LEGO®bricks to build a model that moves and develop a Show-Me Poster to illustrate their journey showing their work to the general public followed by demonstrating their innovative solutions to save water for future generations with their Lego moving models to the judges followed by medals and certificate presentation ceremony.

The First Lego League Jr event offered students an amazing experience as they celebrate their hard work, made new friends and explore countless ideas and ideology that will enhance their lives for decades to come

This year a total of ten teams participated in the First Lego League Jr. Expo Aqua Adventure challenge of the seasons. Team names are Water wavers, Robotron 1, Hydro Ghosts, H2O Bots, Hydro Bots, Bubble Bears, Water Warriors, Fantastic Lego Leaders, Nano beast, and Robotron 2. The event was a huge success as the community response was tremendous and sponsored by Aqua Adventure, First Lego League Jr, STEMshala Enrichment Center, Skyzone Aurora, Om by Neha, Primrose School of Palatine, and Suga Builders.
